WHAT DO YOU VALUE MOST ABOUT CHERRY HILLS VILLAGE:

The Village is not only special because of its beautiful physical space. It is special because of its people—a unique collection of talented, educated, dedicated and generous leaders in the community.

ISSUES OF CONCERN DURING THE NEXT TWO YEARS:

The recession has brought dramatically reduced property values. I pledge to work to restore and enhance property values of properties in the Village. That decrease has reduced our operating income, severely impacting our ability to acquire additional open space. I pledge to work cooperatively with Council in crafting creative methods to finance open space acquisitions.

Regional growth impacts us by putting excessive pressure on our principal thoroughfares. I pledge to resume my role on DRCOG in managing growth and alleviating its impact on small communities affected by it.

While cellular communication has improved, it still has a long way to go. I pledge to continue the process of improving cell phone coverage in the Village.

We have an untapped cultural resource: the cable TV contract I negotiated on behalf of the Village allows us to put whatever content we want on Channel 22. I pledge to make our Channel 22 a vibrant source of arts, education, entertainment and information by, for and about all Villagers, and to work cooperatively with our three schools in having them provide content for Channel 22.

REASONS FOR SEEKING OFFICE:

I am eager to return to the Council to address these issues. I consider public service to be one of the highest callings and I wish to serve.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO CONTRIBUTE AS A CHERRY HILLS VILLAGE ELECTED OFFICIAL:

I will give my all to the citizens of the Village. I will listen to every voice and I will ensure that all voices are heard by the Village—courteously, respectfully, collaboratively. I will seek solutions to problems that respect the rights of all Villagers.
